Ein llinell ymholi y tymor hwn yw:
O’r Gorffennol i’r Presennol - "Sut mae ein tref wedi newid dros amser?"
Bydd y dysgwyr yn archwilio hanes eu tref neu ardal leol, gan gymharu’r gorffennol â’r presennol. Byddant yn edrych ar hen luniau, mapiau, a straeon i ddeall sut mae llefydd yn newid dros amser. Mae’r ymholiad hwn yn cefnogi meddwl hanesyddol, dilyniant digwyddiadau, a dealltwriaeth o achos ac effaith. Mae hefyd yn meithrin ymdeimlad o hunaniaeth ac ymdeimlad o berthyn, gan helpu dysgwyr i werthfawrogi treftadaeth eu cymuned.
Our line of enquiry this term is:
From the Past to the Present - "How has our town changed over time?"
Pupils will explore the history of their town or local area, comparing the past with the present. They’ll look at old photographs, maps, and stories to understand how places change over time. This enquiry supports historical thinking, sequencing events, and understanding cause and effect. It also nurtures a sense of identity and belonging, helping students appreciate their community’s heritage.

“Sut allwn ni ddefnyddio geiriau a chelf i ddangos sut rydyn ni’n teimlo?”
Bydd disgyblion Blwyddyn 2 yn canolbwyntio ar fynegi teimladau a phrofiadau personol drwy gyfuniad o iaith a chelf. Drwy straeon, cerddi, trafodaethau a gweithgareddau creadigol, byddant yn archwilio sut mae geiriau, lliwiau, siapiau a delweddau yn gallu cyfleu emosiynau.
Bydd y dysgu’n cefnogi datblygiad sgiliau darllen ac ysgrifennu cynnar, gan annog disgyblion i ddewis geiriau addas, esbonio eu syniadau, a gwrando ar safbwyntiau eraill. Byddant yn datblygu dealltwriaeth o sut mae cyfathrebu’n ein helpu i gysylltu ag eraill a mynegi ein hunain yn glir.
Our line of enquiry this term is:
“How can we use words and art to show how we feel?”
Year 2 learners will focus on expressing feelings and personal experiences through a combination of language and art. Through stories, poems, discussions and creative activities, they will explore how words, colours, shapes and images can convey emotions.
Learning will support the development of early reading and writing skills, encouraging learners to choose appropriate words, explain their ideas, and listen to the perspectives of others. Learners will develop an understanding of how communication helps us connect with others and express ourselves clearly.
